I am Boymom, mom of 2 boys. That's who I've been for 23 years now. My days are filled with boy sports, boy movies, boy smells, boy jokes and shopping for food. So. Much. Food. Then I write about it. Sometimes Pre-Boymom makes an appearance and reminds me that I'm a Girl, then I write about that too.

I'm no Padme
We went to see the new Star Wars movie for Big Brother's birthday. He took a few of his friends.
Can I just go on record as saying I am done with the whole Star Wars thing? That was the longest movie of my life! I'm done!! I have zero Star Wars love. Star Wars has SUCKED THE LIFE OUT OF ME!!
But my kid had a good time, so I guess it was worth it...making memories, right?
Now George Lucas needs to make a REAL LIFE version of what life on the Death Star would really be like:
C'mon George, a little reality TV style Star Wars!!

I've never had any Star Wars love. "100 mom points" for you for enduring that. Hope the boys had fun.
Oh, SO GLAD my kiddo is too young to get into the whole Star Wars thing!
UGH- I've never really gotten it except for that one movie where Hayden Christiansen was a BABE (mrs. robinson alert ). Don't tell my boyfriend Joe Jonas.
I found your site from mcmommy and as another mom of two boys THANK GOD! I tell ya boymoms are a different bread. We have to be.
Mine are too young for star wars but hubs was talking about how when they get a little older we can get all the dvds. Isnt that great?! I would rather poke my eyes out.
Kudos to you for being a good mama!
I hear ya! haha
Star Wars will always be around..it will never- ever die. So as long as we're mom's of boys...we'll have to suffer along. Oh, the pains of motherhood can be so awful to bear at times! hehe
I did a post about Clone Wars as well if you want to go read it.
I hear you on the Star Wars. Thanks for your honesty. that comic is too funny!
Jen
LOL...I love that cartoon. I loved the original ... it came out back when I was 14. Ahh...memories.
But yes, I hear ya...end it already, lol.
lord Vader... sounds like a good mom name...
I need to send George Lucas a link to this post so he can do something more "MOM friendly!" How about Real Wives of the Death Star or Galactic Housewives. Or maybe Nanny 911 with Darth Vader as the Nanny?
Cynthia: Where can I redeem those points and for what items?
Heather: Your turn is coming. It may not be Star Wars, it may be Spiderman or Batman or whatever, but all boys get stuck on something! Maybe yours are the exception...we will pray for you!
Sue: Oh, I'M so telling JOE!! You are pickin' up bad habits from that playah, BG!
Mrs. - Oh yeah...the DVD's. The day those came home was a dark day in the Boymom household. 'Cause all the lights were turned out so they could watch EVERY episode! I folded a lot of clothes that day.
Queen: I hope they appreciate the sacrifices I make for them! When I'm in an old folks home and rambling about clone wars and Padme's hair they'll realize they were obsessive.
Jen, Drowsey, 4Fun - the comic cracked me up too! Lord Vader needs some anger management classes.
my parents awlays say "making memories" I think that's just the sweetest way to look at life *gooey sigh* OH and this Star Wars thing has so bugged me too since Lucas started thinking the first three just weren't enough. He ruined it. I'm certain that if he had the chance & the technology he would have ruined the first three too!
