My First Giveaway!!! (Contest Closed!)

Whoo-hoo!! I have the opportunity, thanks to MomSelect and Precious Moments, to do a giveaway this month! I am really excited about it! I have boys, so I don't always get to be involved in girly things, so this is a really fun experience for me!

Precious Moments (you know, the cute little figurines?) has started a new club for girls, called the Precious Girls Club. It's aimed at girls ages 4-9 and the club focuses on wholesome values and helping girls feel good about themselves. The website offers a safe internet environment for girls to play and learn, as well as encourages character-based values, such as love, kindness and responsibility. It is an awesome place for young girls to visit, with all kinds of games, coloring pages, craft ideas and more!

The Precious Girls Club also uses books to teach these values. I am giving away 4 copies of the first book in the series called "A Little Bit of Faith." I sat down and read it and found it to be a great little book about a girl who moves to a new town and has to figure out how to fit in and make new friends. The underlying message is that every girl is precious and has worth and value.(Also applicable to every Mom!) So, since I don't have little girls, I shared one with my little niece, who started school this year and is having a really difficult time trying to fit in. I hope the message in this book helps her recognize how much she has to offer the world!

I love this whole concept and have to say "Kudos" to Precious Moments and The Precious Girls Club for introducing an alternative to the sometimes less than positive messages that the media bombards young girls with these days. (So can we figure out how to do something like this for our boys? How about the Stalwart Studs Club or the Dauntless Dudes Platoon? Okay, so I'm lame with the club name thing, but you get my drift, right?)

Alrighty!! Enough of my rambling...here's how to win a book!!! If you are a Mommy Blogger or an Aunt or Grandma or Best Friend Blogger who wants to win one of the books for your little girly (includes a scratch card for a free premium "Rainbow Membership" trial on the website), leave a comment about your favorite part of the Precious Girls Club Website . The giveaway ends on Sunday, September 7th, 11:59 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. I will notify the winners and announce them here on the website on Monday, Septemeber 8th! Have fun and thanks for playing!!

I really like this concept! I didn't "browse" through the options, just really took a good look at page. I've saved the site and my 9 year old and I will cruise it when she gets home. I can tell she's gonna love it because she loves pink. Being a military family is hard. If there's a book or story that can make it easier to move and fit in at a new place? I'm all for it! Looks like a great giveaway!

Oh my goodness, a girl's club about values and self-esteem??? How neuvo! Seriously, I'm so tired of our girls being bombarded with toys like "BRATZ" who wear more makeup than I've ever worn in my entire life, and clothes that would look more in place at a nightclub. It couldn't be too soon!

I saw your new post and my first thought, and second thought was "ah, but I have boys" then it hit me - I also have a niece! And where I would not buy a "BRATZ" for her, I think this would be great alternative, especially if won! Might also help combat the exhibitionist in her! hehe

What an adorable and innovative idea. This would be perfect for my 4 year old granddaughter. A great way for her to learn values, earn rewards and get to use the computer (which her parents haven't really taught her yet)
What a great giveaway!

Geri- thanks so much for posting about this website! I've never heard of it, and I know my 5 year old daughter will love it!!! I love the coloring and crafts section- especially the "spend, save, give bank"- I've been trying to figure out a good way to teach Raelyn about the value of money and what to do with the money she earns and I think this is such a cute idea! I can't wait to show this website to Raelyn! thx again!

Hi! I found your blog through a different blog (I'm notorious for clicking on other peoples links :) What can I say? I love to blog!) Anyway, thanks for posting about this great site. I'm going to show it to my daughter. My favorite part is the craft section because their craft ideas have opportunities for teaching (what a great idea).. like the bank or the family mobile. It's great to have a site that combines fun things for kids (like games, crafts, coloring etc.) and links it with values and true principes! Thanks for sharing. marcie.jessee at gmail.com

Darn it! I JUST missed the deadline.

This is a super cool idea and I agree- it is great to have something out there for reinforcing the good and positive qualities God has given us.

Cheers from me to Precious Moments!!! I will have to post on this myself. More people need to know these books are available.
